LONGEVITY - WHY?

Updated: Aug 12

Where does your longevity begin?

Welcome to the age of longevity. For some, this brings to mind biohacking or dietary supplements; for others, workout plans and morning routines. But for me, longevity starts somewhere else entirely—with clarity about your WHY.

Finding this WHY is a process. Building an inner commitment to it is, too.

There are moments in life that almost force us to reflect on how we truly want our lives to unfold. Often, these are triggered by various forms of loss or hurt. The loss of a loved one, of health, of a job, or of joy. But a fulfilling life doesn’t just happen by chance. You have the power to choose it and to explore who or what is holding you back.

Where is my life taking me? And how do I find my way in a sea of possibilities?
Where is my life taking me? And how do I find my way in a sea of possibilities?

HOW DO I FIND THIS WHY?

Sometimes your WHY speaks in a whisper. It doesn’t always announce itself with a bang, but rather through a feeling or a recurring thought or a question. And that’s exactly what this is about: Meaning. Direction. Purpose.

This isn’t a test. there’s no right or wrong answer here. Just stay curious and explore your thoughts around these questions.

  • When do I feel truly alive, and what or who contributes to that?
  • What does a “good life” mean to me today and in the future?

  • What does a day look like when I’m 90 or 100 years old?

  • What makes it worth getting out of bed for me even on hard days?

  • What do I fear most when I think about getting older?

EXPLORE YOUR LONGEVITY.

Longevity isn’t just about your genes, your diet, or how many workouts you do each week. It begins with a shift in PERSPECTIVE.

DISCOVER WHAT FASCINATES OR DRIVE YOU

  • What carries you through times of crisis?

  • What gives you energy not just in the moment, but over and over again?

  • With which people can you truly be yourself, without filters?

  • What environment or activity allows you to feel light and at ease?

And yes, if the rush of everyday life has been your constant companion for years, it may take some time to remember. But in your life, too, there are those moments you would want to experience again and again.

YOUR DECISIONS TODAY SHAPE YOUR TOMORROW AND YOUR FUTURE SELF.

No one and I mean no one I know dreams of spending their final years in a nursing home. End of the line. That’s not where I want to end up.

Ok! I understand you. Then let this be your beginning and move toward a life that makes this possible.

STAY CALM and ACT.

Please don’t start 80 new routines tomorrow morning, only to end up disappointed with yourself in a few days. That only adds extra pressure. Reflect on the questions and find a WHY so strong that it carries you. Write it on a canvas and hang it on your wall. Trust it, and let it be your starting point.

CONCLUSION:

Longevity doesn’t mean simply living as long as possible. For me, it means reaching the
end of my life with no regrets.

It means feeling alive and experiencing the time we’re given exactly as we truly wish.

You define that entirely for yourself.

Yours, Nadin
